Opis pale and limpid green. Abundant in youthful and vibrant aromas of passionfruit, nectarine, gooseberry and blackcurrant. Laced with honeysuckle, elder flower and lemon verbena spice. The palate of stone fruit, passionfruit pulp and citrus is overtly varietal and fleshy. Contrasting textures of lemon butter, chalk and citrus zest build mid palate weight and length. The wine is finished with a flinty and fine acidity. A salad of broad beans, rocket and pecorino or an aged crottin Now and over the next 2 years.
Opis TASTING NOTE Vibrant and deep plum. Warm, expansive and filled with the aromas of poached dark-fleshed plums, freshly baked blueberry muffins and sweet spices. The palate is bursting with the flavours of cinnamon and clove spiced fruit compote, chocolate fudge, cedar and vanilla. The open knit tannin structure plays a supportive and cradling role to such generously apportioned fruit. Slow roasted lamb, venison sausages or wash rind cheeses 8 years plus and best from 2010 to 2016.
Opis TASTING NOTE Vibrant and deep ruby red. Savoury aromas of cranberry and sour cherry are counterpoised by sweet and supple red berry fruits then seasoned with dusty fruit tannin and oak spice. The cherry and berry fruit leather texture and concentration on the front palate is focused by the defining, chewy grape tannins of Sangiovese. In time the wine will unfold as the tannins soften and the fruits blossom. Capretto, BBQ Lamb, Pizza or Parmigiano-Reggiano 8 years plus and best from 2010 to 2016.
